The AWOS is a suite of sensors that measures, collects and broadcasts weather data to help pilots and flight dispatchers prepare and monitor flight plan routes and provides necessary information for correct takeoffs and landings. This is important information for the emergency aircraft that are coming into and leaving Oakley.
